Jimmy Williams Cancer Benefit

Jimmy Williams started his racing career in 1960.  Over the past 50 years, Jimmy has raced all over the country, from Laplace, Louisiana to Pomona, California.  He has driven dragsters, motorcycles and finally cars. From track to track and year to year, there has always been ONE constant: his crew chief, his cheerleader, his LOVE, Carol Williams.
             Over the years, Jimmy and Carol have made many lifelong friends throughout the racing community, which they consider their family.  Now, unfortunately, a tragedy has caused the Williams to call on their family for help.  In November of 2009, Jimmy was diagnosed with brain cancer.  Rising medical bills have impacted their lives dramatically.  We are reaching out to family, friends and the racing community to lessen some of the impact brought on by such a devastating disease.
            Today, our goal is to help the Williams family, while making a selfless person the lucky winner of a “turn key” 1970 Camaro, "The Total Package."  This car has been in our family since 1997.  A proven winner on the track, "The Total Package," runs 9.20 in a quarter of a mile.  The purchase of one $100.00 raffle ticket will give you the opportunity to win this $20,000.00 race car.  Our mission is to sell 200 tickets, in order to assist a fellow racer’s family’s needs.
             In anticipation of selling all 200 raffle tickets, we plan on having the winning ticket pulled on November 7th, 2010. At the King of the Coast meet in Gulfport, Mississippi, a track official will assist in the drawing.  At this time, one lucky racer will be the winner of a car that is near and dear to our hearts.
